Stop Sinning

Stop Sinning“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

”Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.” I Peter 2:24

“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.” I Corinthians 15:34

Jesus has the authority to help us to stop sinning.  He loves us and wants us to turn away from our sins.  He knows that if we do, we will have such incredible joy.   That is why He came to this earth and took our place on the cross.  He wants to give us unbelievable joy for all eternity.

We do not have to die for our sins, if we accept by faith that Jesus died on the cross for us and that through Him we can have eternal life.

“And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not; whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you; he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” I John 3:5-9

“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” I John 5:18

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
