Stick Close To Jesus!

Not much love in this world, anymore!  Love, harmony and happiness come from Jesus, and because there are far more in this world that have put their belief and loyalty in Satan instead of Jesus, we see more hate than love.

Satan is not positive and uplifting.  Everywhere we look he brings negative events, negative thinking and negative conduct in people. This world being in an uncontrollable mess is negative, Right?  There is nothing positive in causing pain and sorrow. There is nothing positive in causing countries to belly-up.  It seems so many spend their waking hours thinking of nothing but evil.  This world cannot subsist with so much negativity.  We can see how Satan is working to ruin countries. Negativity will eventually pull this world down and everyone in it.

Jesus is preparing magnificent mansions for us and angels are making gorgeous crowns for us.  But, you question how many want their mansion that Jesus is preparing for them and how many want Jesus to place the stunning crown that angels are making for them on their head?  Why are so many caught up with this world, and why do they take pleasure in doing evil to their fellowmen which in turn drives them farther and farther away from Jesus instead of closer and closer to Him?  Why isn’t there a desire to be with Jesus, forever?  He offers everyone far more than what this world can offer, and it is free.  Why do most choose this negative world that will soon be done away with?

We love having positive people around us during the day.  We don’t want negative people around us because their negative thoughts and conduct brings doom and gloom.  It makes us depressed when we have negative people around us.  Life is tough enough for us at this point in time.  We need positive people around us that uplift us, encourage us and make us happy.

Satan is the one that causes people to have negative thoughts regarding our Lord.  Sure, if we have negative thoughts towards Jesus, then we will never read His word or make Him Lord of our lives, right?  Then, Satan has us right where he wants us, on the road to “hell”.   We will never trust our Lord and never believe that He is coming to take us out of this world if we have negative thoughts towards Him.

Do you think the Lord hates the cruel, evil things that are being done to people around the world?  Do you believe He hates what is happening to this earth that He created?  Do you think He hates the way people are treating His animals?  Do you think He is unhappy with the way people are using His goodness and kindness every day?  He gives everyone water to drink; food to eat; and air to breathe.  Those who have no desire to know Him, need to stop using Him.  They have no desire to know Him, read His word or obey Him; so, they need to stop using Him.  They need to stop drinking His water, eating His food and breathing His air.  If they did that, this world would no longer be in a unruly, negative mess.

When our Lord created this world, everything was positive.  Everywhere that Adam and Eve looked they beheld beauty, peace, love and contentment.  “God is love” was on every blade of grass; “God is love” was on every flower; “God is love” was on every tree; “God is love” was in every brook; “God is love” was on every mountain; “God is love” was on the face of every animal and sea creature; “God is love” was in the fresh, clean air and “God is love” was in the fruit that they ate every day.  There was nothing negative in the Garden of Eden.

Kind, sweet, sinless Jesus made our world perfect.  If Adam and Eve had not disobeyed God, you and I would be living in a peaceful, carefree world.   Joy and happiness would permeate this world.  Everyone would be positive, uplifting and encouraging to each other with loving, sweet words.  No negative thoughts, no negative conduct and no negative words.  Our poor minds are so stressed out every day with all that is happening in this world.  But, it was not that way before sin entered this world.

The Lord tells us in His word that an enemy has done this to our world.  An enemy is causing all this hurt, pain and sorrow in this world.  And enemy is oppressing us and bringing such grief to all that dwell on this planet. Satan is not positive; now, is he?  Negativity, doom and gloom were bought into this world through him.

May I share with you a parable given to us by our Lord?  This parable is talking about a field that was planted with wheat.  Not long after the field was planted with wheat, something terrible happened.

Look at the following parable in a different way than just a field planted with wheat. Look at it as the field being the beautiful, picture-perfect world that Jesus created for us.  The Lord in His word tells us that when He finished creating this world, everything was “good”.  Then something dreadful happened to this world, and it was no longer “good” in every way.

“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”  Matthew 13:24-30

Sin came into the Lord’s magnificent world.  The change to this world over the centuries has been devastating.  The devil took something that was created so fantastic and enjoyable and has turned it into something evil and corrupt.  The tares or evil people that Satan has brought in among those that believe and follow Jesus have caused sorrow and heartache.  The state of unrest and confusion in this world that was once peaceful has caused so much anxiety among God’s people.

We would love it if the tares were plucked out of this world.  It definitely would make things pleasant and nonviolent.  But, the Lord tells us that we are to leave things just the way they are in this world.  And, that does make sense when you think about it.

We cannot read a person’s mind.  It is true that the tares in this world are sinner’s and need of Jesus Christ; but, we are no different.  We are sinners in need of Jesus Christ, too.  “…for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”  I Samuel 16:7  The Lord sees men in the way that we do not.  He is well able to tell if a person has a desire to know Him and be in His kingdom.

We judge a person by their speech, actions, the way they live their lives and in the way they think.  We look on the outward appearance.  The Lord knows everything about each person on this planet; He even knows their name and where they live.  He has a great love for us all.  Daily, the Holy Spirit is working on the heart of every person, wooing them to the lovely Jesus.  Some will listen to the Holy Spirit and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ and some will not. But, we must love everyone and leave it to Jesus to determine who will be in His kingdom and who will not.

Even though we do not like the evil people in this world and wish they would vanish out of sight, we must be patient.  Our part is to pray for them.  The believers and the unbelievers will continue on until the end of this world.  At the end of this world, the Lord will send his angels to separate the wheat from the tares.  The Lord is a fair, honest judge.

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”  Matthew 13:37-37

Leave it to Jesus to work on the heart of every person through the Holy Spirit.  All that you and I can do is make sure, with the Lord’s help, to stay connected to Him so that we are ready to lift-off this negative world when He comes.  The good people and the evil people in this world are going to continue on for a bit longer.

Keep praying and spreading the word of God!
