“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:1, 14
“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” I Timothy 3:16
God came to this earth as a humble servant. He was fashioned like the man Jesus Christ. He walked and talked with the people every day and performed many miracles. He saw the hardships that we endure and the sickness and suffering that befalls us. He had compassion and tender love for us.
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:13
“Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” Isaiah 43:10,11
“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:5, 18-22
“And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” Exodus 6:2, 3
After Adam and Eve sinned, God could have destroyed this earth. He could have turned His back on us because of their disobedience. I thank Him for the incredible love that He has for every sinner on this planet. A love so strong that He came to this earth and was born just like you and I were born and dwelt among us. With our finite minds we do not understand how that was possible. But, our God came to this earth in the form of a man, Jesus Christ, and died on a cruel cross so that you and I can have eternal life. There will come a day when we can sit at the feet of Jesus, and He will explain more fully how and why He came to this earth to save us.
I am so glad that God did not destroy this earth when Adam and Eve sinned. Instead He sent His son to die on the cross for us. We can spend all eternity thanking Jesus for making it possible for us to be with Him.
“Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” I Corinthians 10:1-4
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3
“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?”John 14:9
“I and my Father are one.” John 10:30
“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” I John 5:20
“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” John 8:58, 59
To have our Lord God dwell with us for all eternity will be so exciting. To behold His lovely face day after day will be awe-inspiring. May our love for Him increase more and more each day.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8
