Lawlessness DisorderWHAT IS SIN?

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” I John 3:4

“…for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20

For sin (transgression of the law) shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin; (transgress the law) because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin (transgression of the law) unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” Romans 6:14-16

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS. Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell–and great was its fall.” Matthew 7:21-27 (New American Standard Bible)

Wherefore, as by one man sin (transgression of God’s Law) entered into the world, and death by sin (transgression of God’s Law); and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (transgressed God’s Law).” Romans 5:12

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned (transgressed God’s Law)  a great sin (transgressed God’s Law): and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin (transgression of God’s Law).  And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned (transgressed God’s Law) a great sin (transgressed God’s Law), and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin (transgression of God’s Law)–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.  And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned (transgressed God’s Law) against me, him will I blot out of my book. Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin (transgression of God’s Law) upon them. And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.” Exodus 32:30-35

Our sins separate us from God.  That one little sin that Adam and Eve committed brought such woe and misery on this earth. We all are sinners, and God loves the sinner; but, He hates sin. There will be no sin in the New World. How wonderful that will be.

“When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin (transgress God’s Law) no more.” John 8:10, 11

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin (transgress God’s Law) not. And if any man sin (transgresses God’s Law), we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins (transgression of God’s Law): and not for ours only, but also for the sins (transgression of God’s Law) of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” I John 2:1-6

Jesus came to this earth to take our place on the cross. He bridged that gap between man and God which the sin of Adam and Eve caused.   If by faith, we believe in Jesus and believe that He died on the cross to save us, and we go to Him in prayer asking Him to forgive all our sins and to help us to let go of this world and to help us to do those things that please Him, He will.

Adam and Eve transgressed God’s law when they sinned.   We can see what a horrible mess that made of this world.  God will not let sin continue on much longer.  He is coming soon to destroy all sin and sinners. We want to ask Him to help us to keep His Ten Commandments.  We want to do what is right in His sight so that we are ready for His soon coming.

We love Jesus and appreciate the wonderful care He has given us.  We keep His Ten Commandments because we love Him.  “ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12:13

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15

“Whosoever abideth in him sinneth (transgresses God’s Law) not; whosoever sinneth (transgresses God’s Law) hath not seen him, neither known him.” I John 3:6

He that committeth sin (transgresses God’s Law) is of the devil; for the devil sinneth (transgressed God’s Law) from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin (transgresses God’s Law); for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin (transgress God’s Law), because he is born of God.” I John 3:8, 9

Let not sin (transgression of God’s Law) therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin (transgression of God’s Law): but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” Romans 6:12, 13

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? …Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:3, 6, 7, 8, 9

“For the wages of sin (transgression of God’s Law) is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
