Is It Possible To Have Our Name Removed From The Book Of Life?
“For if after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning: for it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” II Peter 2:20-22
“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a cast away.” I Corinthians 9:27
“And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Lord said unto Moses, whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” Exodus 32:31-33
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” Hebrews 6:4-6
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things. God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18, 19
We all have freedom of choice. I thank the Lord for that. Our heavenly father will never force anyone to be with Him for evermore. If a person has no desire to be with Jesus, our Father and the angels now during his one life time, then that individual will not want to be with Jesus, our Father and the angels for all eternity.
If that same person has no desire to surrender his life to Jesus, read His word and put it to practice in his life during his time on this earth, then he certainly will not have that desire in the World Made New. If he finds it unpleasant to obey and follow Jesus now, he will find it unpleasant to follow and obey Him for all eternity. If our Lord were to force that type of person to be with Him, he would be miserable.
Jesus would like to give every person on this earth His free gift of eternal life. But, He will never force that gift on anyone. They have to reach out to Him and let Him know that they want to be with Him for evermore. Run to Him right this minute, friend. Ask Him to forgive all your sins, and let Him know that you would like Him to be your Lord and Savior. Ask our sweet Lord to help you to be with Him in the World Made New, and He will answer your prayer because with Him is where He wants you to be. ” Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:7 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9
Jesus is our best friend. No one else can give eternal life. We love walking with Him each day. No way do we want to turn away from Him and be lost. Because of the great love He has for us, He gives us all freedom of choice. He gave Adam and Eve freedom of choice, didn’t He?
We do have the freedom to turn away from Him, and what is sad, many have done that. I am sure it makes Jesus weep when someone turns away from Him. But, He is not a God of force. His gift of eternal life is for everyone but, not all have the desire to remain with Him until we see Him in the clouds of glory. “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13
“But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? Saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.” Ezekiel 18:21-24
Stick with Jesus. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.”I Corinthians 15:1, 2
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” II Peter 2:20-22
“If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:6
“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” I Corinthians 10:12
“For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” Hebrews 10:26, 27
“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Revelation 2:1-5
“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”Matthew 10:32, 33
“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”Revelation 3:5
