The Lord loves to converse with us. He knows everything about us. Truly, He knows us better than we know ourselves. When you think about it, that is really very exceptional. We have a Lord that understands us so well and knows just what we need before we ask. Incredible!
When we are hurting, He knows just how to left us up and soothe us. He seems to sit right beside us when we pray to Him and gives us peace.
I always begin to calm down as soon as I start to pray because I know I am talking to the One that can give me the support that I need. I know He is wise and loves me and is so eager to make my life much better. That is something that is so magnificent about our Lord. He has such a want to bring us inconceivable joy every day.

Because Jesus is my friend, I love talking to Him. I know that He loves me and listens to my prayers. He may not answer my prayers right away because His ways are not my ways, and His timing is not my timing. I have faith in Him and believe He will answer my prayers in the way He thinks best and when He feels the time is right.
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalms 55:22

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:13, 14

When I pray I feel the warm, loving Holy Spirit within me and around me. I know that my prayers are ascending up to the Lord Jesus, and He is presenting my prayers before the Father. I know that I have nothing to worry about when Jesus presents my prayers before the Father because I know that my heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be with Him. The Father and the Son have indistinguishable love for me. They are working together in helping me to be ready for their soon coming.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6, 7
“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:13-16
“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23, 24

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” I Timothy 2:1-5
As soon as we start to pray, Jesus will stop and listen. When you think about it, it really is mind-boggling that our Lord, who is so busy taking care of millions in this world, takes the time to listen to us. How can anyone be so kindhearted?
“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you unexpectedly. “But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Luke 6:27, 28
This world is in such a dreadful mess. Jesus can solve the problems of this world. He is just a prayer away. The majority will not surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. They may never experience His tender love and care. Friend, if you have not bowed your head today and asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart, do that now. You will be so thankful that you did. Jesus will hold you so tight in His arms and carry you through all the difficult days ahead. Pray that His coming will be soon.
