Truth In Jesus

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Hooray! We can find complete truth in our loving Jesus. Fantastic that you and I know that we serve a God that will always give us the truth now and forever more. The truth is given to us to help us to better comprehend the ways we are to, daily, live our lives. In all our ways we are to bring glory and honor to our heavenly Father.

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13

The Holy Spirit, which is part of the Godhead, has the truth in Him and will guide you and me into the truth of our Lord and into the truth of His word. He does not speak of Himself but uplifts our sweet Jesus day after day. Whatever the Holy Spirit hears from our heavenly Father, He will share with us. The Holy Spirit will help us to put Jesus first in our lives. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness…” Matthew 6:33

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” I John 3:18

We love the word of God and take pleasure in reading it. We like talking about our best friend Jesus. But, it does not end there. We need to show our love for the word of God and for Jesus by following and obeying His word. By our daily conduct and speech we reveal to people that we love Jesus.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

The word, which is Jesus, became flesh and dwelt among us. Throughout the time He walked this earth, we beheld his glory, grace and truth. Beautiful Jesus!

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.” John 18:37, 38

Two things poor Pilate did not realize about our lovely Jesus. Pilate was not aware that Jesus was the “King of Kings and Lord of Lords”, and he did not understand that Jesus was “the Way, the truth and the life”. Satan had Pilate’s sight and his mind under his control; therefore, Pilate did not appreciate who was standing before him. Jesus, during Him time on this earth, continually bore witness to the truth of His heavenly Father. He came to show us the love and truth of His Father.

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” I John 5:20

Our sweet Jesus came to give us a better understanding of the love that our heavenly Father has for us. A love that that you and I do not totally understand this side of heaven. But, we have the privilege of basking in that love throughout all eternity. Hooray! Truth dwells in our heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus. That beautiful truth is given to us. Each day we dwell on that truth through His word with much prayer. Jesus Christ is the true God, and He gives us the gift of eternal life.

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31, 32

What a beautiful promise this is. Jesus tells you and me that we shall know the truth. There is peace, joy and contentment in knowing the truth as it is in Jesus. The woes and cares of this life can get us down at times. As we keep focused on Jesus, we are free from all the stress of this life. Peace of mind comes from Him. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Day by day may the Lord help us to keep our minds focused on the good things of this life. This world would be a much better place if everyone kept their minds focused on the good things of this life.

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” I John 1:5-7

Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Walk with Him who is true and good. There is no sin in Jesus. We must choose to not get caught-up in the corrupt, evil ways of this world. If we truly love Jesus, we will make the choice, daily, to stick close to Him.

“Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.” Psalms 119:142

We find truth in God’s Ten Commandments, and we are blessed if we keep them. “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14

“These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.” Zechariah 8:16, 17

Spread God’s love to your neighbors each day. We must always be honest with our neighbors, and help the Lord to spread peace and joy in this world. Let us always have good thoughts regarding those that we come in contact with during the day.

“For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.” II John 1:2

Throughout all eternity we will experience the truth and love of Jesus.
