“For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12:50
“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.” I John 2:3
“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:23
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” I John 5:3
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15
Obeying our sweet Lord brings us endless delight. Actually, it brings us wonderful freedom. We know that as long as we stay with Jesus, love and obey Him, we will see His lovely face, forever. We love Him so much because of the fantastic care that He gives us each day and because He gave us the free gift of eternal life when He took our place on the cross. Wonderful, Jesus!
We experience such joy when we obey our Lord because we know that the Ten Commandments were given to us to protect us and to make us happy.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21
“If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” John 15:10
“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.” Deuteronomy 7:9
Just think, in the New World we will always be free from all evil. God’s Ten Commandments will still be in force, and we shall love Jesus and love all those that dwell there. No one will want to break God’s commandments in the World Made New. It would bring in the same sorrow and pain that is going on in this world, right now. We will be so happy in the World Made New and want the peace, joy and happiness that comes from obeying the Lord to continue on forever.
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22
“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” John 10:27
“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14
