Something Is Not Right!

Ever wonder why all the horrifying, disgusting things are happening in this world? Ever question if there will be an end to all this insanity?   We sometimes just do not want to get out of bed in the morning because we are so sick of this world and the people in it.  We just cannot believe some of the things that people do.  No one seems to have any common sense, and we think our government officials are making such reckless decisions in the way they are running this country, and those that are running the other countries are not doing much better.

Sometimes we wish we could get away from all this corruption that is taking place in this world. Day after day we have to face all this wickedness that is taking place and it is making our heads swim.   Oh, how we would love it if we could go back to the days when everything was more peaceful.  Is there any hope of things getting better?  Is this world going to continue on?  Is there any relief in sight?

It seems our hands are tied.  We feel so powerless.  We hate to see this great country going down the tubes.  It brings tears to our eyes.  We love the USA.  We think of all those that have fought for this country over the years. Countless have given up their lives so we can continue to have freedom.  Now, it looks like we are losing our freedom little by little.  How are we going to handle being under a dictatorship when we have always been free?  It will be very challenging.

When our heavenly Father created this world, it was flawless.  There was no sin.  Adam and Eve didn’t know what sin was.  They were carefree and content.  Even the animals were friends with them.

God created a world where there was no pain or sorrow.  The thoughts of Adam and Eve and the animals were untainted and holy.  The love and benevolence of Jesus permeated everything.   Everything was fresh and picturesque everyday because death did not exist.

How sin came into the mind of Satan no one knows.  The Scriptures do not tell us.  But, we do know it originated with him.  “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”  Ezekiel 28:15

Satan’s name was Lucifer in the beginning.  He was an attractive being.  He was created faultless with much wisdom.  There are two covering cherubs around the throne of God in heaven, and Satan was one of those cherubs before he fell.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”  Ezekiel 28:13-19

Satan was full of pride because of his beauty and wisdom and wanted to take the place of God.  He wanted to be like the Most High.  “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.”  Isaiah 14:12-15

Satan was able to turn one third of the angels in heaven away from their loyalty to God with his appalling lies.  Ultimately, the time came when there was war in heaven and Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven.  “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”  Revelation 12:9

You may think, “Why, didn’t our heavenly Father put a stop to Satan?”  God is a God of freedom.  That is what is so fantastic about this county that you and I live in.  Our forefathers set this country up with freedom for all.

If God had put an end to Satan, then the rest of the heavenly angels that did not rebel against God may have thought that God was a tyrant.  They may have wondered if Satan was right in turning against God and Jesus.  They may have wondered if those angels that went along with Satan in his uprising were right.  So, the only thing that our kind heavenly Father could do was to permit Satan to continue on in his rebellion so all in due time could see that God really is a loving God and Satan is a heartless, liar.  Over the centuries Satan has proven to all that have lived on this earth to be a hateful, merciless liar.  When the time comes for our heavenly Father to destroy Satan and all those angels that joined him in his revolt, everyone will agree that it is the right thing for God to do.  It would not be right to let Satan and his imps carry on forever.  There isn’t a one of us that likes what is happening in this world.  We are sick of the vice that is taking place.  We would like to see it put away, forever.

Satan may be the ruler of this world right now; but, his end is near.  “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me”  John 14:30  It will be fantastic when our heavenly Father destroys him and his angels and creates a New Heaven and Earth where there will be no more sin.

“And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”  Revelation 20:10

I am sure you have noticed the fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes as well as the disasters in the air, in the sea and on the land taking place more and more frequently.  Many feel God is responsible for all the awful catastrophes taking place in this world.  But, you and I know God is not behind all the terrible events that are taking place in this world.  Satan is alive and well, and he is behind them.  He is, also, ruining this country and the rest of the world.   He is very crafty and sly.   He has always worked through people and disasters to bring woe and misery among those that dwell on this earth.

The Lord is coming, again.  Satan knows his time is short, and he is working to keep the people occupied in so many ways that they do not take the time to know the Lord through prayer and Bible study.  They are so engrossed in watching what is happening to this world that taking the time to prepare for the second coming of Jesus never enters their minds.

“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”  II Corinthians 4:4

Many are dying from all the dreadful disasters taking place in this world.   Countless are going to Christless graves.  If they never surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ and confessed and turned away from their sins, then they will burn for them.  Satan is happy with that.  He does not want their sins piled on him so he burns longer.  Every time a person comes to know Jesus and confesses and forsakes his sins, Satan trembles because he knows that person’s sins will be placed on his head, and that person will have eternal life.

But, Satan is so full of hate he just cannot stop doing ruthless, sinful things.  He hates Jesus and, of course, hates every person on this earth because we were created by Jesus.

But, there is one thing that is upright regarding all these catastrophes that are taking place on this earth.  Many are beginning to recognize that the end of this earth is near.  They are beginning to think about the coming of the Lord.  Countless are turning to the Bible for answers.

You and I need to pray that many will come to know the lovely Jesus before it is too late.  He is our only hope.  The days ahead will not be easy; but, Jesus will be with us just like he was with Noah and his family.  Jesus and his holy angels were all around that ark.  They went through a terrible time of trouble; but, the Lord never left them.  There is a terrible time of trouble coming our way, again, and Jesus will never leave us

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”  Isaiah 41:10
